OUR MAJOR NATURAL THERAPIES

Bach Flowers

“Treat people for their emotional unhappiness, allow them to be happy. and they will become well,” quotes Dr Bach. Disease is not just of physical origin and this realisation resulted in Dr Bach giving up a successful London Practice and seeking his treatments from the trees and flowers of the English countryside. Attuning himself to the environment, Dr Bach found 38 flowers that covered the negative mind states of his patients. The flowers included Heather, Wild Rose, Gorse, Beech, Larch & Willow.

As in homeopathy, there is no physical part of the flower in the remedy yet the energy of the plant is retained in the preparation. It is this energy that can unblock the patient’s channels so healing can begin. A fascinating study of how these energies may be retained can be found in the ‘Messages From Water’ by Masaru Emoto.

Negative behaviour patterns may arise for several reasons – a traumatic experience, an inappropriate upbringing, diet, fears (real or imaginary). An example is the introduction of a new kitten to the old cat’s household. The old cat hates the kitten. Remedies may be given to both, as both are adapting to change (Walnut); the kitten may think he’s boss (Vine), he ‘fails to get the message’ from the older cat (Chestnut Bud), or the older cat may simply be overwhelmed by all the goings on (Elm). The remedies can be simply added to the water bowl, the trough or even in a little food.

Your Animal Naturopath, Sandy Urwin, has written The Desktop Guide to the Flower Essences for everyday people who love their animals and need a quick ready reference to solve any problems. There is a easy read reference for each Flower Essence and a go-to for problem solving in the back of the book.

It covers dogs, cats, horses, birds, farm and wild animals; even the owners! See our Shop. For individual remedies refer our Product Range. We can combine to your requirements or formulate to help you problem-solve.

Many people are familiar with the Rescue Remedy for emergencies and stress.

The five flowers that comprise the Rescue Remedy are:

  • Cherry Plum – to retain self-control.
  • Clematis: to restore consciousness.
  • Impatiens: to relieve pain and anxiety.
  • Rock Rose: to relieve panic and fear.
  • Star of Bethlehem: to alleviate trauma.

Our Success Stories – Max

We had a little Yorkie named Rosie who mothered our poodle Max. When she  passed away in February 2013 Max was at a loss; he became aggressive to  other dogs and was very scared.

Sandy put him on some Bach Flowers and over time he became his old self;  he is now friendly and even plays with other dogs. Finally he has his  lovely soft nature back.

We are so pleased we went to Sandy at the Animal Health Centre and will  continue to get any help that is needed from her in the future.

OUR MAJOR NATURAL THERAPIES

Bach Flowers

The Flower Essences reign supreme in the area of restoring emotional well-being. The advent of quantum physics and the development of the mind/body connection have provided new insights into the workings of energy and vibrational medicine, animating the invisible and intelligent life force within; it is on this level that the flower essences restore the balance and harmony of an animal’s true nature, often forestalling a physical disturbance before it has time to manifest as an illness.

Gentle in nature, these are often our first choice when dealing with behavioral issues.
